EAACA Wall LCA Calculator – major new features

The EAACA Wall LCA Calculator has been further developed with several new functions to support more detailed wall modelling and life-cycle assessment.
For the first time, the tool now includes a dedicated Mortar Tool, allowing mortar quantities to be calculated from masonry geometry. This includes regular bed joints, optional head joints, first/levelling bed joints and a new option for vertical joints only, for example for large-format elements with different joint spacing.
A new Inhomogeneous Layer / Frame Tool has also been added. It calculates the shares of frame and infill materials and transfers them directly into the wall build-up for thermal and LCA calculations.
In addition, users can now select 50- or 80-year reference study periods, switch between total GWP and annualised GWP [kg CO₂e/(m²·year)], and freely define replacement cycles.
These new functions make the calculator much more flexible for comparing different wall systems and life-cycle scenarios.
