20 participants from Europe and Asia met for the 64th meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Association (eaaca) at Xella Technologie und Forschung in Emstal.

In the personal exchange, among other things, focal points of international standardization were deepened and the further preparation of the 7th ICAAC (International Conference on Autoclaved Aerated Concrete), which will take place in Prague at the beginning of September 2023 under the motto „100 Years of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete 1923 – 2023“, was coordinated.

Another important part of the meeting were the reports of the different committees. In the Strategy Committee, future steps and guidelines were discussed in order to further advance the development and dissemination of autoclaved aerated concrete. Technical standards and innovations were topics as well as marketing and communication in order to increase awareness of the many applications and benefits of autoclaved aerated concrete.
The European AAC Association welcomed two new members at this precedent-setting event: Hess AAC and Benda Lutz. Their joining strengthens our position and opens new opportunities for collaboration and innovation of our building materials industry.

The program also included a tour of the Xella Technology and Research testing and inspection halls. Here, it was possible to experience first-hand the innovative developments that drive our industry.
