Nearly Zero Energy Buildings built with AAC

To fulfil the commitments on CO2 emission-reduction and to prove that nearly zero energy buildings can be built by conventional building envelope the European Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) industry has collected the main points that can serve as a guide for designing buildings that answer the latest energy performance requirements. The solutions which AAC materials provide are not theoretical, but practical ones which have already been realised.

New EAACA member: Italy

Since July Italy is again member at EAACA represented by Assobeton – the Italian concrete association. AAC production in Italy has a long history: In 1988 Siporex Italy was already one of founder members of EAACA.

EAACA now represents AAC producers from 19 full members and 1 associated member.

New EAACA members

In 2013 Israel and Azerbaijan joined EAACA as associated members.

After independence of Azerbaijan AAC Baku is the first producer of autoclaved aerated concrete in the Caucasus region. YTONG is market leader in the building field in Israel.

EAACA now represents AAC producers from 18 full member countries and 2 associated member countries.
